Age Friendly Wales Steering Group

In January 2021, the Commissioner established a Steering Group to provide crucial insight and routes to action to support the delivery of age friendly communities across Wales. The Steering Group is attended by representatives of the following:

The group has been meeting to hear about the initiatives already going on within and outside of Wales to create age friendly communities, discussing individual roles and how organisations can help steer and promote the work. Alongside this, group members have been sharing and promoting information about opportunities that can help older people remain independent, healthy and active community members.
